Joe Miller is a divorce lawyer which to many people is the lowest form of lawyer. He claims to be an authority on the Constitution but seems to only follow the party line with few ideas that reflect new insights. His limited experience as a judge isn't very extensive. With no legislative experience and little evidence of being able to compromise he can't be viewed as an astute politician.

"He resigned as the federal magistrate when he ran against Representative Guttenberg in 2004. He's now in private practice and seems to be a generalist. He does a significant amount of domestic relations work, according to Rita Allee of Fairbanks who has appeared opposite him many times. "He seems to me very restless, always on the move -- doesn't hold jobs for long. He needs to settle down and learn more about his craft as a lawyer."
