Some people won't leave home w/o their Amex card. I won't leave home w/o my therapist. I'm too far gone to just talk with one on the phone.

And right now, my goldfish isn't feeling so well. Think I OD'd him on brats.

Of course, I don't have to remain in hiding for fear of being brutally attacked by a couple of black widows like CC does. Guess I can be thankful for that.

LOL I drove from West Virginia to Alaska back in '99 the roads weren't that bad, but I'm not sure if they are still new, but I hated having to see the Dakotas. I'd go to Anchorage, it may be big for 300,000 people but it's probably as normal as you can get.

Your not the only one. Im also from virginia and thinkin about the move. We are lookin to go next summer though and are taking the time to save up right and finish off everything we have here. Im currently a police officer so im hoping that skill is somewhat desireable in alaska, although probably not as another police officer. Great info in this forum and hope to read how some other Virginian's moves have gone and how they adjust.

Also can help with the actual logistics of moving!
