My husband passed away on the 12th from cancer. We were separated so he was way down south. We just got home yesterday. I went out tonight and took pictures of a beautiful light show to welcome me home.

Glad you're back. Hope you find some healing in the lights; I know I always did.

And I'm jealous about the lights. I could have seen them a few weeks ago but being the old fart I am I couldn't stay up past 11:00pm to see them!

So glad your back home and safe... healing takes time and with friends and family it will be so much easier to bare... separated or not the heart does take time and the lights are there to help your process. I wish you nothing but great memories and smiles...

Glad to hear you got back safe and sound; sounds like some people really bent over backwards to help you get down there too. To me, that says a lot about the kind of person you must be. Best to you and your family; these things are never easy. Knowing what I know about you, though, you'll kick its ass.

Yes, the generosity of friends and even a few strangers had me bawling for two days before we were got out of here.

The last several years were "not good" but when you considered we'd been together for 24 years, we had plenty of really good ones. Those are what is in my memories now and of course, what is making life difficult. But I know we'll be ok so I am just waiting for that.

Thank you all.

Glad you made it home, sorry about thread reason for leaving as well!

We ordered the light show for you as a welcome home! Everybody got their sheets out of the dryer and flapped them at the sky so they would move just to make them better!

Hope the kids are doing well!
