Windchild-to: Did you know that Grover Cleveland the past president of united states side of the family kind of carved out the many states of North America? Then when Bob me was born took over the whole development = Builder Bob. Alaska was very easy raw data. E.F. Hutton & Co Edward Francis Hutton Anchorage modern days had some molding rights to Bob me talking soundbites. Development kind of stuff for the state of Alaska. We value success the hard way. We develop it so true.

People get bored during the long winters and find all sorts of novel ways to pass the time. Thinking up names like Val-dis-eze and Meth-silla are just another way to pass time, and maybe show a little affection/rivalry towards other cities since there are so few of us up here.

Also may be a thing Alaskans have for names. Just like no-one up here uses numbers to refer to the highways. They are Richardson, Steese, Seward, Elliot, etc. You can always spot a tourist when they ask how to get to somehwere "do I take Hwy 1 or Hwy 2?" Usually I look at them funny and can't answer because I don't even remember the numbers anymore. Maybe that's why they go away thinking Alaskans are a bit strange.

Well when you live around rainy Places you come up withnames like "Drizzle Flippers" for windshield wipers.

People riding bikes along the highways passing through wilderness areas are called "meals on wheels".

The Hotel/restaurants area outside of Denali Park is called the "Glitter Gultch".

"Dead Man Creek", was pretty much self discriptive.... Poor guy...

And so forth....

Homeroids, Los Anchorage, and Squarebanks are the ones I hear the most.

I believe Los Anchorage started a few years ago, something to do with gangs that reminded some of a city in CA.
