I've used Golden North for my moves into and in-state.

Thanks for the response on Golden North, I looked them up and it appears they come in and pack your stuff up for you. Does anyone have a company in mind that they can drop a "container" at my house and we fill it up and they ship it to Boise for us and we unpack it there? Seems like that would be a cheaper way to go. Thanks.

Does Alaska have anything like PODS. I checked and PODS doesn't service AK at all...

There is a site called uship.com that might also be able to help... Some friends of mine have moved a car and a boat using uship and were happy - but of course be careful who you hire. They have a mover rating system and reviews.

Except for a long time ago when I used United Van Lines - I have always just moved myself. So I am out of other ideas other than renting a truck and moving yourself. (or buying a cargo trailer and pulling it yourself assumming you have the ability/desire too).

Contact your local barge companies. When we first moved here, that's what one mover said he'd do. At the time, you could get a container delivered to your house, then picked up and barged south. He wasn't quite as clear on how to get it delivered, but I assume the barge company might do it for local distances or you can likely find a trucking company that will do it. Be aware that any damage or loss will fall on you.
