Yes, that's the one I referred to. I forgot that they also show travel, horse trekking, and so forth, while one of the PBS channels also shows This Old House and other home improvement shows.

Long before the Internet showed up I quit buying papers when the stories they were printing didn't match the details of the real story when it happened down the street. Now with the Internet you can find the real story in seconds that still doesn't match the paper story. Throw in far left politics and they are going the way of the dodo.

If I read one now, it is just for the comics, which has a lot more professionalism than most of the news stories, except Doonsberry... Just another political column.

Look at the IRS scandal, that left unchecked can be done to anyone, prison terms for those that abused the system is needed from the top down. The press is trying to explain away why it's a legit dealing, but the IRS has already admitted its wrong doing. Kinda makes the press into a pack of liars.

There are good people in the IRS, but it has lost all credibility to the public, and with the press putting crap in the papers, i doubt even Parrots can stand the stench in the bottom of their cages!

I think you meant to say "long before the WWW protocol showed up..." considering the Internet was developed in 1968.

The WWW protocol, developed by CERN in 1994, opened the door for browsers, and made the Internet far more user-friendly.

Cool, but I was around long before then too!

But it was in the mid to late 80's before the public started to do web stuff. My first online computer was a Tandy, and I had to use floppy disks to start it up at 300 baud.

That really sucked by the way, took a long time to load the most basic page!
