You're young, and you'll probably live in a lot of places during your lifetime. Now's the time to explore Alaska in person and see if it's for you.

I do share mizzle's concern that you may have a unrealistic idea of the freedoms you'll find in Anchorage.

What sort of activities do you prefer when not pursuing outdoor recreation?

You'll also want to take your career in consideration, I'm guessing. Anchorage may or may not be a good choice depending on your education and experience. What sort of job will be you looking for?

Mmm. No. That is utterly untrue. Exactly what is "lax" about our laws in Alaska?

So when people exercise their freedoms to make a decision that they want, that pisses you off?

Libertarians confuse me.

Who says being outdoors in the winter isn't an option?!? There's still hiking, skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snow machining, ice fishing, ice skating, sledding, gathering around a bonfire while the northern lights dance overhead...

Fox and Friends? Really?

What some of you are clearly failing to see is that the students voted to ban all flags in a certain part of their student gov. space.

Not gonna argue this with any of you Einsteins, but seriously -- you're letting Fox and Friends tell you what to "think?"

Fox and Friends?

Perhaps you should read the link you posted, then. That's where it was from.

Watch the "Fox and Friends Weekend" clip above.
What Fox and Friends isn't going to tell you yet is that the thing was vetoed several hours after it was voted in.

Then why post their links? BTW, Fox and Friends isn't what I call it; it's an actual program they have, and it's where your link can from.

Anyway, back to the OP, no one here can tell you whether you should move or not, but I'd caution you to find a better reason than thinking AK is some kind of neocon haven with no pesky rules.

My point was for the OP to not bring that type of thinking to Alaska.

Which news organization is better in your opinion?

I usually have to read Faux, CNN, and MSNBS for national stuff. I read the local rags to find out what is going on around me.... If its an AP article, its identical. Although the comments at the bottom of the article are different.
