hey there im Daniel a 24year old male that is really interested in moving to the great state of alaska. i have looked for a while now on how to go about that and what all i need to do but have came up empty handed. i have experiance in a couple of diffrent fields ( 1 and 1/2 years a a land survyer, 3 years as a manager of <1> sonic drive in <2> ben & jerrys ice cream shop and a year as a wire rope shop hand <oil field> ). i would need help with housing and finding a job if any 1 can help, any thing would be great so plz leave me sum web sites if you can.

I see quite a bit of road surveying going on in the Mat-Su area all year round, not sure of any jobs though. Check with the state and/or the different boroughs, they may have survey jobs.

No Sonic or Ben & Jerry's round here, that I know of.

Go to coolworks.com and look around. They have a lot of seasonal positions....maybe not quite what you want but year round work is tough to find right now and coming up for the summer would give you a chance to see what its like here.

I didn't find a job here but I did make a decision on which location to work based on what locals told me about my different options.

I have no idea. But it gives them something to look at! I'm more than willing to give out links...but I don't have the time to look for jobs for out of staters. They'll have to do some of the work!
