Anyone else trying to get a job with Alaska State Troopers?
I have sent my background application in and am waiting to hear back from AST. Anyone in the same boat? I was told its going to be a significant amount of time before they finish the last groups background checks. Also, if everything looks good with my background then I should be set up in May with a date to be in Alaska for a week in June.
I am currently in Upstate New York so this would be a big change! But, Im ready for it!

I am originally from Long Island and moved out to Las Vegas to join the police department there. I just put in my lateral application for AST, and am looking forward to hearing something from them soon. It will be a big change for me too, but the more I do research in these forums the more motivated I am to move up there.
