I’m curious as to what people think Albany would be like today had Empire State Plaza had still been built, but not in the bustling heart of the city. I’d liken that to what Paris had done with building its La Defense commercial business district which is impressive, but also right outside of the historic core of the city and built with relatively little displacement or destruction. Where would it have gone? How would things be different today because of that?
