North Colonie is a school district that comes to mind right away. Siena College is in the Loudonville portion of the school district, but it is also one of the more affluent parts of the school district. So, that may be an area to look at away from campus. Latham is another community in that SD.

You could also go with Menands, which is a one building school district that goes from Kindergarten to 8th grade, that is high performing and is likely Upstate NY's most culturally diverse school district. It is just north of Albany and has multiple options for high schools with North Colonie's Shaker High being one of the better performing options, but also includes South Colonie's Colonie High and Tech Valley High School.

In fact, a sweet spot could be the portion of Menands next to Loudonville and into the later community in terms of good schools, nice neighborhoods and a similar commute either way(basically from Van Rensselaer Road west into Loudonville south of Siena College).

It is a good SD, but North Colonie seems to have a little bit of a better reputation. That complex is about 20 minutes from both Clifton Park and East Greenbush.
I hope this helps and hopefully some other posters can add some more information.
