looking for a rental for a young professional in Albany (New Scotland: apartments, rentals)

recently got a job in downtown Albany and looking for a 1Bd or 2Bd rental for under $1300. any suggestions for affordable neighborhoods or local sites that locals prefer? or any advice for places not to look at?

As for neighborhoods, Pine Hills, Park South, New Scotland, Helderberg and perhaps others such as Delaware Avenue, Downtown and Center Square/Hudson Park are some neighborhoods in the city to look into.
