I will be driving from Jersey to Albany, and will have a day to spend in Albany. Where can I drive to see something around that area. I like nature, parks, etc.

I'd say with one day check out Thacher Park, esp. on a clear day, there's a beautiful view. John Boyd Thacher State Park - NYS Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation
You could spend all day hiking around there. Check out other state parks in the area too, using the same link. Other areas you might look into are Albany Pine Bush Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission: Welcome, 5 Rivers Five Rivers Environmental Education Center - NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation. Further north in Niskayuna is my favorite natural area Lisha Kill LocalHikes - Lisha Kill Preserve, I love the stream, trees. Great for walking, snow shoeing. I also love Plotter Kill, Christman Sanctuary, Vroman's Nose.
There are just so many places.

In downtown albany, there is a "Tourist Center"...welcome center of sorts. I believe it is on Broadway, right by 677 Angelo's "Prime" Steakhouse (Charles Schwab building I believe).

If you go in there, I'm sure you can find plenty to do.
