Thank you for your opinion of the VA, marmom!...I agree with your sentiment about veterans being a great population to serve. I am also thinking in a practical way....being in my forties, I am thinking of benefits, vacation days, and retirement...I heard positive things about working a Federal job for 10-15 years. Currently, they only seem to have a lot of nurse practitioner openings, but I now have them sending me emails as jobs become available to see what the trend of jobs will be...
This is the coldest it's been in New Mexico in 20 years. It's not anywhere normal.

If you used to live in S Florida, you'll be happy to know the folks out here in ABQ are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooo much friendlier.

Mid September! My favorite part of the year. The temps start cooling down, but still warm enough for outdoor activities.
