I was thinking of going there for my b-day in a couple of weeks. It looks like something different so I thought I might consider it...Has anyone ever been there? What's it like, will you full by the end of the meal? Thanks!

Tends to be on the pricey side (esp. without a coupon), but generally pretty good service. Food is good too.

Out of all the places I've eaten before, I avoid this one more than any other not because the food isn't good, but because it's so hard not to overeat there.

They're pretty reliable with buy-one-get-one birthday month coupons in the mail; signing up online may not be too late if it's a couple weeks away.

My husband and I loved that place. We live in Arizona now and haven't had the chance to see if there is one here. We originally found one when we lived in Utah, then again in Abq. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it, IMO

Thanks for the replies guys..Overeating is fine by me
I signed up for the birthday coupon so hopefully I get it before Dec 22.
I read the menu and it looks like just normal meats, do they just prepare them in a Brazilian way?

Depends on where you are in Brazil, for me it was always Pork and Seafood with black been, rice and plantains (fried bananas). But Gil has never let me down, his review: Gil's Thrilling (And Filling) Blog

It's a fun place for meat-eaters who aren't afraid to overeat! We always make sure to go *starving*, and at lunch instead of dinner, or with a coupon, to save some bucks. The meats are excellent, good quality & expertly grilled, and there's decent seafood as well. We largely ignore the breads & salad bar, but there are some interesting selections if you have any room left over ... Talk about full, I don't think we've ever made it to dessert.

It's also a great venue for a group dinner, because everyone can get exactly what he/she wants with minimum fuss.

I was glad I went once to see what it was like. I won't be going back because (1) it is unusually noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation, and (2) don't need to consume all those artery-clogging saturated fats and cholesterol. But for a special occasion I think it would work out fine.

They do have an awesome salad bar ! Sometimes it can be noisey... That being said...I think every time I drive past, they are always busy! Thanks for the tip about a birthday coupon! Every little bit helps!

(There is also a coupon for Tucanos in the 2012 ABQ Entertainment Book as well!-- I think it's $10 off when $50 spent).. again.. every little bit helps..

Njoy and Happy Birthday in advance!
