Rio Rancho is Albuquerque's bedroom community , not that there anything wrong with that! Great place for families getting started and first homes. Then once they get established, they can move to Albuquerque and avoid the sun in your eyes coming and going

If one is driving all over NM, living in RR is probably a good compromise.

People that commute 52 miles one way might get used to it, but it doesn't make them [not] insane. If they turn around and "drive all over" ( somewhere ) that would be different, but if they are just going to an office/factory/whatever and then going home ( 52 miles ) that's just insane.

In Albuquerque, change that 52 miles to 20 miles and it's still insane.

Not in general. There is relatively little commuter traffic going West on Paseo/Alameda in the morning and vice-versa.

I have a question for all the RR haters! Where in the hell are people suppose to live? Just because you didn't move there you thingk you have a right to bash it or make negative comments? Who cares, you all sound like a bunch of very narrow mind prejudice People. Hell we all live in a state that gets no respect and is thought of as a Third world country. So lets all enjoy where we live!

This is what Intel says about Intel:
Jobs at Intel - United States, Rio Rancho, NM
Located just outside of Albuquerque, Intel's New Mexico site resides in Rio Rancho. Intel came to New Mexico in 1980 and began operations with fewer than 25 employees. Today, Intel New Mexico is the largest private-sector industrial employer in Albuquerque.
I know a few Intel Employees who ride their bikes from Rio Rancho to their jobs at Intel (Located in Rio Rancho).

Driving is just part of his job. He is a heavy equipment field service mechanic, so he has to travel to the job sites.
