Hi,

I’m looking for classical guitar (not folk or flamenco) lessons in ABQ. I found the following two. I was wondering if someone here has experience with any of them, or can provide other references/recommendations? What’s the typical tuition runs? As a highly Hispanic concentrated city, ABQ would probably have many community societies/clubs that plays, practices and teaches classical guitars.
Thanks.

My son takes lessons from DJ Armijo. He's an amazing guitarist. He came in 2nd place (duet with another guitarist) in the Santa Ana Star Search last winter. His rates are very reasonable (much less than paying at a guitar store), but he may have a full schedule. Call and find out if he has openings:

Here's a link to his guitar page. He's the one with the glasses.

Thanks Lobo. DJ seems to be good and the rates are not bad. However, it would be more convenient if the lessons are taught in the NE or SE area.

I did Google it, but didn't see any review on those, so I was hoping someone here has some first hand information on these classical guitar instructors.
