Mine was Fools Paradise I think it was called, a gag/novelty shop right above the food court (90's).

I'm also glad to see something finally happening there.

I liked Winrock as far as malls go. It was relatively quiet with the carpeted halls, nice big palms under the skylights, and not populated by hordes of tweens and teens dressed like hookers and gangbangers.

By comparison, Coronado reminds me of the city from the dystopic sci-fi film, Logan's Run, where everyone died when they turned 30. Which also happens at Coronado.

When I was growing up, Winrock was the place my family visited for shopping when we went to "the big city" each year. We stayed at the Best Western. I don't like shopping malls anymore but it still makes me a little sad to hear that Winrock is gone. I'm not old enough to have this kind of nostalgia, dammit! :P

Cool, we're getting a D&B! Now if we'd get a SteinMart again and a Dick's Last Resort, I would be perfectly content to stay here forever.

Construction will soon start at Winrock Mall. Three popular restaurants, Dave and Buster's, BJ's and Genghis Grill are scheduled to open next year. According to the developer Gary Goodman, the CEO of Goodman Realty, construction should start in two to three months. Goodman said construction on a 16 screen IMAX theatre at Winrock should also start this summer.

Default Final (and I mean FINAL) plans for Winrock. Hopefully.

Pegasus retail just released this brochure about Winrock. It shows the 5th renderings of what Winrock will finally look like. Winrock just re-broke ground in may, I'm assuming if all goes well, Winrock will be up and running fully by early 2014.

Uptown Albuquerque is going to be amazing, especially with the new Urban Target.
