We have the typical New Mexican style flat roof/stucco home and want to be better prepared to put up Christmas lights this year. The previous owner of our home put nails in the stucco (bad! bad!) and we have used the nails in the past to hang up the lights, but now the nails are falling out and the stucco is cracking, so we need to do this right this year!
Last year we saw more and more neighbors with large clips that allow Christmas lights to be hung on flat roof stucco homes, but after looking EVERYWHERE around town (including Lowe's, Home Depot, Target, Walmart, etc) we could not find them. Although these clips are really tacky looking in the daytime, they seem to be our only option.
Anyone know where I can find these clips (online or in stores) or know of a good way to hang Christmas lights on stucco?
Yes! They look like these! The ones I've seen a bunch in our neighborhood are dark green (which are hideous and stand out against the various beige stucco paints). Gosh these are expensive. Thanks NMH!

Just for what it is worth I've used the Welcome to Parrot Clips : Product Purchase Page for about 9 years. I bought mine at/in Ace Hardware (if this is allowed) on Southern ave in Rio Rancho.
I use a hot glue gun to glue my electric luminaries with to the parapet of mi Casa Tierra Roja:
I must admit, I didn't believe the hot glue gun thing would work, but after overhearing a neighbor say he uses the same trick and after getting so sick of seeing my draping lights I braved the cold and took a hot glue gun to my lights. This did the trick perfectly!
I realized that the parrot clips would not be much use for our home because our flat roof isn't entirely flat at the ends. It has a "raised design" at every corner. The parrot clips would have helped in the flat part, but not on the edges where it is more tricky to follow the design of the house.
I suspect the hot glue is going to be a tedious mess to clean up, but it'll be worth it.
I had 1 come loose in that wind storm a couple days ago, out of 50.
Glue works.
