Albuquerque moved up from No. 24 on last year’s list. It is the first time it has ranked in the top ten in income growth, coming in at No. 10. Like other cities that have moved up on the list, Albuquerque is a center for high-tech companies and government projects that have fueled its growth.

Once Tesla opens along with Shamrock Foods, the city should maintain the ranking into next year. If we can lure Piper from Vero Beach, you can expect us to move into the top 5.

Thats great news! Albuquerque is elevating itself as a major player in the southwest.

Jobs in California pay 6 figures because it costs 6 figures to live there. Disposable income is next to zilch for many CA residents, even those making 6 figures.
