What would you all say is Chick-fil-A's brand awareness in the abq area? If I walked up to a random person on the street, would they know or have eaten at Chick-fil-A?
I'm just curious, because I love low to mid awareness markets -- because I love introducing that great taste to people for the first time.
It is well know here, in fact when the west ABQ location opened it wasn't unusual to have hour long wait times. They were in our malls when I was a kid, but now they are moving to the freestanding locations. There is another on inside the Student Union Building at UNM as well.
I second what everyone else here is saying...this would be a great location for a CFA...really an affluent, very busy, very popular and growing area of Albuquerque.
People know of CFA in Albuquerque and pile into the one on the West Side. I don't see how a location in this area couldn't be successful.
As far as Blake's goes, while I am not really a Blake's burger lover, they are just a fast food place, like their food or not. Kind of felt the same way about the Chick-fil-A controversy in the recent past.
Still hoping someone opens a White Castle around here!

Yes, that is why the parking lot is empty. I took the picture on Sunday. I've never been a great fan of Chick-fil-A, but they are OK. Hopefully they will do well here...
