hmmm bit of confusion there, with my last post. I am a New Zealander currently in New zealand, wanting to get work with a beekeeper. but due to the way our visa system works i have to have a job jacked up to go to. id like to study american bee pests...that is pests and diseases american bees get, as we dont have some of them in new zealand, although one day they might be accidently introduced here and also to learn about the american approch to beekeeping. Ive been searching for Apiarists (Beekeepers) to contact in the Alb area but so far no luck...any suggestions would be appreciated

Although I don't personally know anything about the beekeeping business, I do live in Albuquerque, and wanted to give you this link I found to a local beekeeping forum and group here in Albuquerque:

Duke City Fix - Urban Beekeepers

For clarification, Duke City is the nickname of Albuquerque, hence the weird name of the site, lol. The nickname came from the Duke d'Alburqueque, for which the city is named. I'm sure you could correspond with the people there who could give you some information that might be useful for beekeeping in Albuquerque.

Good luck
