The city's growing (I assume) and that's the easiest way to get needed money for services.

More like in deficit due to poor management. Throwing more money to a broken system is unlikely to accomplish much.

It's 38¢ on $100 and is for the police, firefighters, and EMTs.
The Berry administration left us millions of dollars in debt, and we still have that $75 million+ for A.R.T. to pay for.

60% is promised for “public safety”, a label which apparently includes a surprising list of departments eager for some of the tax money. If law enforcement, etc, actually gets more funding and support that is good. Overall not holding my breath that this money will be spent wisely. Hopefully I am wrong.
