I'm sorry I got snarky, gang. I guess I was surprised at the initial response, with this area being so big on conservation and the environment. I apologize. The pictures from the commercial areas that went dark WERE pretty neat, though. And at least it got some businesses thinking about conserving, so it wasn't a total waste.

Did you happen to see the before and during pictures? Some were amazing, and some were disappointing.

My dh and I were looking at them and decided that even though we continue to conserve energy in our home, our usage pales in comparison to the incredibly high usage of energy around the world. Seriously, its pretty to see the Pyramids lit up at night, but necessary? Some of those palaces as well were huge energy hogs.
