Hi all,

I have searched through all the old posts regarding housing near UNM and wasn't able to find an answer to my specific question. I'll be in Albuquerque for a week and need a place within walking distance of UNM.

I came across a listing for a garden apt. two blocks east of Girard and Campus but have no idea what the neighborhood is like. Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks!

It's a very nice, quiet, green neighborhood. Very close to campus and the core of Nob Hill's shopping/eating/bar district.

Is it an apartment that's part of a house? I can't think of any apartment houses in that area. I rented part of a house there in 1993-4, great neighborhood just north of Campus Rd., and a short walk to Nob Hill attractions. Very peaceful at night. If you're right on Campus Rd. you'll be across from the Monte Vista elementary school playground which gets pretty noisy with screaming kids during the day and the playground loudspeaker. But normally I was working at UNM and missed the noise.

Thanks for the response ABQConvict and aries63! I really appreciate it. I believe it is part of a house. I'm looking forward to my first time in Albuquerque.
