Cheap red wine, nothing too sweet or dry...try burgundy if you can't find a Spanish wine (Sangria is Spanish origin). Add fresh-squeezed orange juice, blood oranges if possible, fresh- squeezed lime juice from Mexican limes only. I was lucky, had my own citrus trees for years. Mix to taste. Nothing else; if you want a little more kick, a touch of tequilla, not too much, don't want to alter the flavor. Float slices of orange, lemon, lime if this is served in a large vessel like a punch bowl or pitcher.
Any fruit you like -- peaches and strawberries are good, and some citrus fruit -- sliced and soaked in the wine overnight. You can use red, white or rose wine - just make sure it's something you like and that it isn't too sweet. When it's time to drink, add about 1 part sparkling water to 2 parts wine.
I use red wine, blood orange juice, a little bit of lemonade to sweeten it, some cognac if I want to make it stronger, and some orange slices and maybe other fruit if I have some lying around.
No fruit juice and no limes. I guess I wouldn't consider it sangria if you used fruit juice.
Aren't you the one that puts cognac in your sangria?? Cognac is French...not used in sangria. Look up some sangria recipes, you will find lime juice, not brandy or cognac.
I would not consider your recipe to be sangria, more like...some mulled wine punch...thing...

No eres un experto....
I also said cognac/brandy. They make brandy in Spain and cognac is brandy. You will not find lime juice or any juice used in Spain. Fresh lemons are used. I would find your recipe crap like and not sangria.
