Hello, I'm not a huge drinker of alcohol but I have opened up to trying wine, so far I have only tried 3 reds and 2 whites. Recently at a family gathering, my inexperienced taste buds were introduced to a glass of my first champagne, Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque. I was hooked instantly and fell in love! My luck someone at the gathering thought my reaction was cute so they sent me a bottle for my birthday. I now want to explore other champagnes, need some help exploring before I go out and shop. Price is not an issue, I just want something that will taste great. Suggestions please .

Champagne de Castellane, Tarlant, Collard. Good luck finding any of it.

Waaaaaaayyyyyyyy overproduced. It's the designer hand bag of champagne. There's nothing particularly wrong with it. But there's nothing particularly right with it, either. There are many, many, many less expensive and better options out there.

Champagne houses (like Bourdeaux) blend their grapes for a consistent style, especially for their regular non-vintage bottlings but even for their top vintage cuvee's. I've only had Belle Epoque at a champagne tasting a couple yrs back and iirc it's fruit-forward and sleeker than big, creamy yeasty bubblies of other producers. For champagne in a similar style you might want to try Salon, Billecart-Salmon, Pierre Peters or Jose Dhondt.
