Hell I cant remember half of the names of the stuff ive drank, my first choice is always a micro brew.
THe Albuquerque Isotopes has a great brewpup, always enjoyed their wheatbeers.
I'm a big fan of the Great Lakes Brewing Co.'s (Cleveland) Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. It'll sink ya!
Also, the Erie Brewing Co. makes a pair of good ales: Railbender Ale, and Mad Anthony Ale. Like the Great Lakes Brewing Co., it started out as a brewpub but grew from there.
Milkshake Stout from the Rochester Brewing Co. in Rochester, Michigan
Yum. That one sounds good! Wonder if I could get that here in Boston? I like the thick Guiness-y stouts, too. For something lighter than stout, Tremont Ale or IPA are great, from Tremont Brewing Company in Boston, MA.
My favorite is Rogue Dead Man's Ale, which I drank while living in Seattle. It's made by Rogue Brewing Company in Newport, OR. One store, 7-mi away carries it for $8 per larger bottle. I never drink it now as I can't justify the expense.
Another favorite is Black Dog Ale from Spanish Peaks Brewing Company in King City, CA. Haven't had that in 10-yrs. Maybe I should venture on back to Seattle for a taste testings across the city!

The beers at Watch City Brewing Co. in Waltham are also excellent.
My favorite ever though was probably the Coffee Stout from Triumph Brewery in Princeton NJ (ANNOYING web site however, badly designed...and hmm...I don't think they had the other 2 locations back when I was last there? I dunno...). John Harvard's in Cambridge MA does a passable Espresso Stout (if I remember its name right).

We visit GLB every time we return to Cleveland. Wasn't that Elliot Ness' hangout, bullet holes in bar and all. Favorite in Portland, OR - Rasberry weizen from McMenamin's. Also, Sierra Nevada from California and Pyramid's Apricot Weizen.
