My favorite mixed drink of all time is simply a Cuba Libre made with Bacardi Spice rum (I don't know if this fits the strictest definition or not, but it works for me). Absolute bliss! The problem is Bacardi no longer makes this type of rum. I've tried the Gold and a few others, but nothing so far has really hit the spot the way the Spice did. Do any of you who've tried Bacardi Spice or who enjoy spicy rums have any recommendations for labels that might be similar in taste? Most people suggest Captain Morgan. Captain is ok, but it's considerably sweeter than I prefer, especially after mixing with coke. The beauty of Spice was that it wasn't overly sweet. Havana Club I think had a similar taste. I enjoyed it while I was in Europe, but sadly I don't think it's imported to the U.S. Any suggestions?
