Yes, they're famous.
The girl (Rita Lee) followed a very successful career with her husband (Roberto de Carvalho) until today.

The lyrics are very poor in this song, don't go much further than "She's mine, I'm hers"

Os Mutantes are fantastic. They were overlooked in the U.S. during the 1960's but they became "hip" in the indie (alt rock) press in the U.S. in the 1990's.

Start listening at about the 3:00 minute mark, Cobain discussing his admiration for Os Mutantes.

On a different note, I have a tamborim with "meia-noite te deu - Bahia" written in pen on the head. This sounds like it might be a song lyric, maybe with Bahia instead of something else. Does anybody recognize it?
