What countries in the americas are part of the british commonwealth? And what is the relationship like between them, how easy is it to move to another country, set up a business etc etc. I know its hard for a Canadian to be able to move to England but what about the Caribbean Islands?

Thanks for the list of countries, I live in the frozen one...

Does being a citizen of a commonwealth make it easier to move from one of these countries to another?

That's about all the former British colonies in the Western Hemisphere, minus the USA. lol

I think of the former British colonies in the Old World (mainly Africa/Asia) are also part of the Commonwealth.

Nope, it does not. You still have to go through the normal channels everyone else does. However, gaining citizenship from a Commonwealth country might have shorter time requirements. But to initially get in, there are no such special privileges, unless you are an Australian or New Zealander, which have the special Trans-Tasman Agreement

It sure makes it a lot easier to visit Cuba. When I had a Canadian wife, it was easier to visit almost all countries.
