Before I got to Brazil, I asked an American traveler coming in the opposite direction what he thought of Brazil. He said "You sit on a bus all day and see nothing, and then arrive in a city that looks like Bakersfield." He was right.

I have been to most countries in LATAM and Brasil would be my favoriate place to live - why ? Easy because I can fit it there are feel normal. the locals don't treat me like some dumb foreigner. I can walk down the street without attracting attention or being bothered and weirdly enough, I can feel safe. I feel in tune with the vibe of the city/country. This is not true of ANY other country I have been in in LATAM - There are other places I really enjoy to visit but not to live. BTW I am an American.
