Here's my situation. Im in colombia and have a flight scheduled to leave later today to Buenos Aires. However I fell quite ill recently with some kind of stomach issue. That being said, the symptoms have subsided some what but still, the idea of being in a plane for 9 hours is horrifying. Also I am taking into account the possibility that this stomach issue might be something more serious because it's been going on for almost a week so I may need to go back to the US for treatment and getting a flight from Buenos Aires to Texas would be extremely expensive compared to from Bogotá.

My options
1)go to Argentina
2)stay in Colombia and wait for symptoms to subside, if they don't, go back to Texas

If I do stay in Colombia and the symptoms do subside then I'll spend the month checking out other cities in the country like Cartagena and Medellin. Also a plus is that I'm absolutely obsessed with a Colombian here and would be able to spend more time with him.

If you can muster the flight with your condition and have international health insurance, then go to Argentina. If an emergency pops up you can count on Argentinean hospitals to help you. Their health system is good enough and could be significantly cheaper than in the US.

If you look kind of odd or too sick, flight attendants might not let you board the plane.

No health insurance.

Go to a Clinic/Hospital and see a Doctor/Physician, wherever you are.

I'll get hate for this but I would go back to the US if it seems serious. I wouldn't trust South American doctors, sorry.
