To Bongo, Campbell Village seems to have been bought from Weidner and I havn't been able to get a phone number to reach them. Is there any chance that you have the number?

I saw where it was listed for:

Bonanza Professional Property Management

I see it on their link list. If not Campbell Village, maybe another one.

Good luck & hope this helps!

Bongo, I see you said you live at campbell village. How is it? We have a black lab/great dane 8 month old puppy, who is already 60 lbs. I'm hoping he doesn't get too much bigger considering finding decent housing with a dog that big is close to impossible. I have been looking up apartments/houses for rent it seems like NONSTOP for the past month, and we just now found out for sure we're headed to Anchorage in the middle/end of June. All the apartments I am finding are ghetto and have TERRIBLE reviews. Can you give some insight on the "safe" areas and what it's like in Anchorage?

I lived at Campbell Village before we bought our own place. Campbell Village is small, about 800 sq ft with 2 bedrooms, bath, living room, kitchen. We had a great view of the mountains & a wood lot in which to let the dog run until someone bought the land to build condos. We moved as soon as they started cutting the trees. It's a very nice neighborhood next to Campbell Lake. We made an acquaintance with a guy who owned a lot on the lake. He gave us permission to access his land to ski on the lake in the winter.

Here are some ideas for pet-friendly apartments in town:
homewithpets.com - Pet Friendly Homes in Alaska-Making Better Homes and Gardens for you and Your Pet (http://www.homewithpets.com/alaskapethomes.php - broken link)

A great area for dog owners is midtown up against the university trails & University Lake dog park. If you see anything at College Alps that is one of those great locations.

You could get a place in pt mackinzie or near wasilla air port and get your pilots licence and fly into merril, of course the weather will bite you in the a** like 50% of the time.

Default Do not settle!

Take the time to find a decent place so you will not have to suffer the same things many of us have had to suffer through.

Here is my experience with Montclair Apts part of Weidner.
