Glitch, are psychic powers the same as driving using the Braille system?

Well they do use sodium cloride mixed in with gravel on the roads up here, to knock the ice off. I bet if you look closely they may do that there too. Especially if you have ice for long periods.

Well, I do admit that my psychic powers aren't flawless, and in a sense (pun intended) I do use the Braille System to make corrections. When I hear repeated thumping sounds, I come to realize that I've drifted too far on to the shoulder.

Some times I will also employ sonar by honking my horn and speeding up to see if the sound waves bounce off anything in front of me.

Wow, is that true? You don't use salt on the roads in Anchorage??? I'm moving to Anchorage from Ontario, Canada and we use tons of salt........also, are you really allowed studded snow tires? We are NOT allowed studded tires as it wrecks the roads......

Thanks!

Although it is outlawed for use in the city of Fairbanks, salt (calcium chloride, not sodium chloride) is used on roads in other areas of Alaska. The Alaska Department of Transportation uses calcium chloride mixed with sand in a ratio of 1 part calcium chloride to 10 parts sand in order to keep the sand from freezing solid.

As far as studded tires are concerned, the dates they are allowed depends on your location. If you live south of 60°N latitude, then you can use studded tires from September 30th through April 15th (except on the Sterling Highway). If you live north of 60°N latitude, you can use studded tires from September 15th through May 1st (including on the Sterling Highway).
