OK folks, I just gotta ask------FUR - the pelt of a haired animal, most, not all, animals have fur to some degree, Opossums, Snakes, Lizards, Earthworms are not known for their coat quality fuzzy stuff, ***, Muskoxen, and this guy I knew in Greensboro, NC (his family tree, I suspect, was largely responsible for the "werewolf" legends, he had to shave several times a day, face (all of it, forehead and nose included) hands and feet, the few times he wore short sleeve shirts, he had to shave both arms, I never saw him in shorts. He always said he particularly felt sorry for his sisters. I got the FUR part, but... What the blazes is a "RONDY" ? After trying to check this thing out, I discovered that a Rondo (alternate spelling - rondeau ) is "a musical composition having a refrain that occurs at least three times in its original key between contrasting couplets" whatever the hell that means?????, would someone be so kind as to shed a bit of light on this conundrum for me???? Thanx

Aha, that kinda makes sense, I was aware that, in the early days of the lower 26 (not a lot of states on the other side of the Mississippi River in those days) Trappers aka "Mountain Men" would have a "Meet Up" shortly after the spring thaw. This would last for a couple of weeks, they would sell their pelts, get fresh supplies, drink, fight, socialize, sometimes used as an euphemism for "getting laid" , get brought up to speed on the latest technological advancements - The percussion cap, and cap-lock rifle greatly changed their lifestyles, t'was a lot quicker than shaping a flint! It does kinda make sense to have a meet-up--- Rondy--- before winter sets in, Thanks Barkley!

I'm thinking about visiting Alaska during the summer AND the winter time. I am wanting to do the sled dog thing and go to the Rondy but not this year....I'm thinking maybe 2-3 years from now since my wife is expecting our 2nd child. We've been getting interesting brochures and such from Alaska for a while now....

No the decline of the stock market has pretty much killed it.

Well, that'll give Doug and I a chance to get settled in and get some Gobs in the freezer and hopefully new plans will emerge for ya and your missus.
