We've already seen well over a foot of snow and it's piled up down the main drag 3-4 feet high and taking up most of the turn lane. Winter is gonna suck if it starts this hard now and we don't get a little indian summer when this cold front clears.

I seem to remember you talking that way in the spring? Oh...remember to get your grill away from the fence and closer to a door before it freezes down...

Yeah, I did some re-arranging this summer, finished up the pond, and if the ground doesn't freeze before I get to it, gonna put up some snow fence to 'steer' the drifts where I want them.

Anything yet on when it will possibly snow in Anchorage? Farmer's Almanac is predicting an extremely light snowfall across the nation this year, and warmer yet next year, (5-year cycle) but apparently this doesn't include Alaska. I guess it is just a guessing game? -----signed, a girl from GA

We had an unusually beautiful September here in Anchorage & now it's finally rainy season! The winds hit the past 2 days & the leaves finally are off the trees.

I predict snow for Halloween. Time to wax up my skate skis. I'm ready!
