Would anyone know the names of exterior doors that they could recommend.I need a three quarter rectangular door.(no insert)

We bought a fiberglass one because my husband wanted to have it finished with a wood grained look and it was done by a painter but looks awful now the hot sun has faded it.
It has a nice lead insert in it which we would like to have put in a new door,so want just a new door.

Most doors come with the insert already in it.

Simple answer- find the original manufacturer and order a replacement slab.
But, you made it sound like you don't want the f/glass anymore. If that's the case (this is kinda putting the cart before the horse), having insert for door instead of having a door and adding an insert- there are plenty of custom door retailers across the country. I'm sure you could find a door that would accept your insert or have one built. Mahogany tends to be the top choice- but you'll find that the maintenance on it is 3-4times greater than that f/glass door. The lowest maintenance choice would be an insulated steel door- coat of paint; done.

The f/glass door can be refinished. But I would suggest hiring someone who is experienced- I've seen a few DIY re-do's on f/glass doors- there should have been a funeral for the door, and a firing squad for the H/O!

Oops! My bad- that would be "2" funerals!
