I think it be great if we had an thread dedicated to this: Here's my church. It's called Saint Cyprian, it's a RC church located in Philadelphia.

Not the best quality pictures, but yeah..

Nice!

Although I am an atheist, one would have to be certifiably crazy to not acknowledge that churches easily make up some of the most beautiful and inspiring buildings ever imagined, designed and constructed. As an architectural designer, churches always make for exciting destinations to explore in every city I visit. Although there are landmark examples in nearly every city around the world, anyone who has been to to the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis knows that it stands proudly with some of the most beautiful churches in the world. (Along with the rest of the city's inspiring architecture!)

It was fun to go to Notre Dame in Paris last month but I still think this church in St. Louis sings far more brightly.

And who isn't fascinated by the The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona by Gaudi?

I haven't been to Buffalo, New York, but a couple of years ago I caught a wonderful program on PBS showcasing the outstanding church architecture in that city that was mind blowing!

I love church architecture! I visited as many Gothic cathedrals as I could, while in Europe. (unfortunately, that was over 15 years ago now, so most of my photos are sitting in a closet.)

Here are 2 shots of Florence's Duomo that I did scan, and have online:

Here are some churches in my hometown of Massillon, Ohio:

This is the church a few miles from my house (I went to college here too). I only went in the church 5 or 6 times (not Catholic).

I was just in Tulsa, OK and went to see the Boston Avenue Methodist. I think it's the one of the coolest Art Deco buildings I've ever seen.

Whoa! Very cool!

Reminds me a little bit of the Capitol building tower in Lincoln Nebraska (aka known as the "Penis on the Prairie" lol) designed by Bertram Goodhue, yet this is even more Art Deco.
