No, not a great score but not bad either. Squarely in the middle (specifically - the bottom of the upper half).

Based on the large amount of moaning and complaining I constantly see on this board you would think AZ would be ranked 50th out of 50 in every category.

Our mommy will very happy, thank you.

So Arizona was 24th in the 'It's all about me' category of Personal Income Per Capita Cumulative Growth. Oh well.

We did just fine if you look at the big picture.

Economic Performance Rank = 3rd (1=best, 50=worst).
Economic Outlook Rank=2nd

Where did Massachusetts rank?
Personal Income Per Capita Cumulative Growth, 5th.
Economic Performance Rank =35th
Economic Outlook Rank=26th

I won't repeat what the "Rats Leaving a Sinking Ship" graph shows. But even Michigan did better.

I'd worry about your mommy.

Hey, it can always be worse - said the optimist!

Mass is ranked 5th overall in personal income. As far as net migration, the baby boom generation is retiring and moving away for warming and cheaper climates. They cash out on their homes and go somewhere where they can play golf all year round.

Arizona's growth is in based largely on migration from Mexico and retirees or close to retirees moving from other states.

I seem to remember reading an article on here a couple of months ago about how people educated in Arizona's universities (hardly the country's top btw) are leaving because of the lack of professional jobs for educated individuals.

Frankly, I think Massachusetts is doing just fine.
