My AZ license is from 09.

Do I need a new one and if so can I do it all online?

I keep getting caught by the title of this thread: I know my driver's license doesn't cover airplanes.

You know what they say....

If you can fly a plane, you can drive a car.

Well, I sure hope so anyway

We found that the new license makes it somewhat easier traveling through airports and such.
And as a vet, you need the new license if you want to go onto a military base.
I like military history.

You will need a Real ID compliant state issued DL or ID soon. New regs kick in October from what I recall. Unless rules have changed you can fly without ID but your bag will be physically inspected and you will undergo an "interrogation". I had to answer questions about past vehicles, residences and an elementary school I went to.
