The TV version stated that one had a birth certificate on him, but that it was illegible.

At first glance it looks like people involved in the illegal drug trade. Governor Brewer still refuses to send the Arizona Guard to the border to help with surveillance.

The border is just as porous as it was the day Robert Krentz was murdered. Governor Richardson on the other hand sent 300 New Mexico Guard troops to the border to protect his citizens days after Robert Krentz was killed.

Poor Arizona, stuck with a Governor that would rather sign bills that do nothing to protect the border. Why? Because it's the only way she will win reelection. That's why.

Governor Brewer signed legislation that caused, finally, a NATIONAL dialog on the issue of immigration to break out.

It took some guts for her to sign 1070. You should be congratulating her.

What concerns me is they called this area a common illegal border crossing, why isn't it more secure?

I thought Obama was supposed to be sending 1200 NG troops. Were they there assisting when this happened?

They are also being sent to the "border" not necessarily just ours alone.

There was an interesting article in the Surprise local newspaper about pressing for more security in the "Tuscon corridor" and what, if anything, was being done. There were a lot of interesting statistics about illegal crossings and drug running percentages that go through there.
