I am looking at moving to Arkansas in the near future. I'll be working as a massage therapist. From what I can read Little Rock, or Hot Springs area seem to be the best suited for my work. And the housing is not too expensive. I enjoy mostly outdoor activites--camping, fishing, hiking, and have 3 dogs that I will not be willing to give up. Can anyone out there give me any help? What kind of pay? Year round work? Thanks..

Off the top of my head, I would say Hot Springs...there are bath houses there and wonderful resort hotels that offer massage therapy services, and you can't beat living near all the lakes! I'm sure Little Rock has it's fair share of therapists so I'd guess there are jobs there as well. You might also consider Eureka Springs in north Arkansas....

Can't help you on the pay, but I would imagine either Eureka or Hot Springs would be year-round...and guessing again, I'd say more Hot Springs than Eureka since it tends to cater to the ...hot springs bath houses. Eureka kind of shuts down as far as tourists for a couple or three months a year. The rest of the year it's a tourist mecca.

There's another poster who has asked about rentals in Little Rock/NLR if you go that direction - please see that thread for more in the capital city area.
