From an ASU grad operating in the Midwest with Indiana, Purdue and Notre Dame grads -- there's no reason not to send your kids to ASU. My education there has served me well.

I would say mostly transplants. You'll see a lot of towns around Jonesboro decreasing in population (ex. Blytheville) and I'm willing to bet they are moving in the area. I know several people who have actually moved here and commute to Mississippi County to work at the mill.

I will provide you with as much info as possible about me and my family. I am a city loving girl but am originally from a very small rural town with a population of less than 10,000. I have lived in some very large cities with populations of millions also, but currently live in a very rural area. I am married with children who would be attending a junior high or middle school. My husband will be looking for semi skilled labor jobs ---factory or general labor. I would be looking for a job in insurance or small finance. I enjoy big city living but my husband does not so we need a area that offers culture and opportunity but not millions of people. I want to be in driving distance of good regional airport and varied events to expose my children to. I also need info on doctors and medical care in this area. I am looking for info on the availability of jobs in the area, events, recreation, schools (7th and 8th Grade) , neighborhoods, home rentals (avg. Prices), race relations in the area (of Minority descent). We would be renting for atleast the first year. Any tips, comments or suggestions encouraged and welcomed! Thanks.
How was your trip? Do you need any more information on the area?
