Listen to DC and stay off federal or state property, and we have recorded as Archeological Sites all the prehistoric sites we can find, and if you are caught collecting on them you food will be provided through the bars, not in the bars.

I have been all over federal lands and although I do not use a metal detector or shovel if I find something on top of the ground it goes in my pocket. thems the breaks.

I still have some fossilized tree pieces from the south west. I also have a nice piece of green quartz I picked up in Wyo in Shell pass in the 70s. Just laying on the ground. After a fire in Custer battle field I looked around for spent shell casings. But there had been an extensive search for them and a forensic battle field done so not so easy to find.
