Hello all,
We are taking a trip in a convertible the second week of November, and want to enjoy and be impressed by your area. We are flying into Tulsa, and would like to (hopefully) enjoy the fall foliage, see Bentonville, Bella Vista, Hot Springs Village, Fayetteville, and Eureka Springs. Does anyone have suggestions on routes or places to visit? We are super-excited to enjoy the area!

Thank you!

Bundle up.
It’ll likely be a bit chilly for a convertible.
Even now, the highs are only in the 40’s and 50’s. That’s great for walking around in, but not so much in a moving car.

That sounds perfect! We turn the seat heaters on and talk about how cold it is. We used to do this in Pennyslvania. The things Phoenicians do

Take “ the pig trail” from Fayetteville to I-40. ( just google the pig trail) Then I-40 to Russellville and take hiway 7 south to hot springs. Beautiful fall ride, not the quickest way though.

Modern convertibles are comfortable in cold weather with heated seats and great heaters. ( a least mine was)

BTDT this last weekend (Drove from Tulsa / did a loop and a lot of back roads)

Colors are a bit late, so Eureka Springs was best, really enjoyed the Chapel / setting. https://thorncrown.com/
Did most of the scenic routes in the region (OK, AR, MI). https://scenicbyways.info/
Including Mount Magazine Scenic Byway
War Eagle and Hobbs state parks.

Also did https://dogwoodcanyon.org/
Pretty spendy ($18), so plan a day / picnic

also nearby...(Branson Lodges) https://bigcedar.com/attractions/
more routes,
https://www.roadsideamerica.com/map/ar

Had some rainy days, so was very grateful for indoor activities such as ...
https://crystalbridges.org/calendar-by-day/
Walmart Museum
http://beautifulbellavista.com/chapel.htm
https://www.uark.edu/
https://www.experiencefayetteville.c...6-things-to-do
Drove around looking at architecture and commercial buildings in small towns. (we refurb both types)

Do a search for unique foods, that brought some interesting places too.

Great list stealth.

I will say that big cedar lodge is worthy of a spend the night, eat at the both restaurants at “ top of the rock”, then go into Branson for an afternoon and evening.

Also, Buffalo river area is beautiful all year, but especially in the spring. Another spend the night, float, hike and eat at the low gap cafe!

If you make it to hot springs, it is a tourist destination, just about year round now. Of course lake stuff in the summer, but downtown is a cool place to visit all the time. (Pancake Shop downtown, has been a breakfast attraction for decades)

Again, pig trail and hiway 7 are some of the most scenic byways in Arkansas, especially in a convertible. Come and enjoy.

Thank you so much! We are very excited, and will definitely take that route.

I love the detail! So many great suggestions. Was the Branson area worth it, in your opinion?
