We moved to AR last August---when will we recieve our personal property tax bill? I got our real estate tax bill-but not personal property.

I find this to be VERY confusing....maybe after I've done it a time or two I'll get it.

You can call your county collector's office and find out what your bill is. Depending on the county, you can even go on-line and find out.

Hi all,
From reading your comments it would seem that the personal property tax is levied on several types of vehicles licensed inAr. We have our 2nd home there and all our vehicles are licensed in our home state, so I assume no tax. ????????????????????????
The State sites do not seem very clear on this.

Thanks,
K1948

If AR is not your primary residence and/or nothing you own is 'licensed' in AR then you would not pay 'personal property tax'. (Real estate taxes are levied against real property, regardless of where the owner lives.)

think something is wrong there...Did you just buy it, could you be confusing the sales tax with the personal property tax? I don't know, but I do know our sales tax on the our 2003 Cryster we purchased after moving here wasn't that much. Our personal property tax on the car is almost nothing...

I don't know what to tell you. I would go to the tax revenue office, I don't know where yours would be, do know where the one here in NWA is. have them check it out. There is no way $700 is right...

Good luck,

Nita
