Which Emirati city would you rather visit or live in? Or if you've been to both which do you think is better in terms of like friendliness, livability, safety, etc.
If I had to choose I'd say Dubai. It's such a fast-growing city and looks so beautiful in pics.
I chose neither. Dubai is a mirage in the desert, an adult disneyland built on slave labor. Abu Dhabi is a conservative Islamic society where having fun is praying to Allah five times a day than drinking tea with a bunch of guys.
Abu Dhabi is in pretty good economic shape. Dubai is the emirate with the debt problems. But at the same time, AD isn't nearly as flashy as Dubai, and the culture is somewhat more reserved.
Abu Dhabi of course!! I don't think most people realize how beautiful that city is! Yeah Dubai gets alot of press because of that famous hotel and the beach side life but it gets old. And I heard it gets EXTREMELY hot there. Turn-off for me. Abu Dhabi looks really nice and modern and reminds me of a smaller, newer, NYC. I gots love for the AD.
However I would never live there right now. With all there money issues. And I heard theres cases of like 15 people living in one apartment there because of the high cost of living. And it's not like normal situation where people struggling to live like in NYC. It's like workers from India and stuff that must cram into one space because Dubai doesn't pay them enough to cover the cost of living. Which I think is so wrong because the workers are the ones building that city like CRAZY with all the cool stuff.
I personally have been to both places
and I liked Abu Dhabi more. It is friendlier and less crowded than Dubai.
