what may be the Fail Proof Business in India (cons, school)

I know having our own Business Empire is a great thing, and it is much better than a job.
but the question is what is the business which can be considered as a fail proof business in india.

We may think of businesses which have a regular demand with good profit margins, Like food & beverages, hair salons, repairs, garments, dry cleaning, beauty and fashion items, schools, etc.
is it right criteria ( selection of business on the basis of frequency of use of the product) or is there any other effective way of selecting a business?

If there was a fail proof way to do it everyone would be doing it that way right?

My own thought is that it is better to find an unserved niche in the market and pursue that. Sure if you sell food or are a barber or something similar there will always be customers, but it is much harder to succeed because you have so much competition. Whereas if you are the only person selling a certain thing you can really hit a six if you do it right and the market wants it.
