why not? According to you? You vastly overestimate the will to separate. Reading too much CNN I guess.
Hold a referendum and there is no chance Tibet would vote for independence. I can assure you, won't be 30% even.
So why not? What's China afraid of? One referendum will shut those tibet-niks up for good. Bring it on.

Fine. Keep Tibet and Xinjiang if they want to stay. Honor what the Taiwanese will vote for if ever there's a referendum. But the PRC should stay away from the South China Sea altogether because the way it is being occupied by China is like the colonial times. The colonial times have passed. Also, saying it is similar to Guam is not accurate. If Guam was not ceded to the U.S. after the Spanish-American War, their history will be like that of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the rest of Micronesia. They would still eventually become part of the U.S. after WWII.

China should agree not to press its claims in the South China Sea. In return, China should force the US to sign a treaty which forbids the US from operating any naval ships in the South China Sea or in the First Island Chains and also forbid the US from forming a military alliance with any country in Southeast Asia.

or the third option. divide the PRC in 3 countries and make them easier to exploit.
sounds like the same logic under which the west caused most of the pollution to the earth in history, but let's forget that and start to allocate Co2 emission today as if nobody ever produced anything.
God forbid the world progresses...

It is also funny that the same people saying Guam etc. should stay with the US probably would say Tibet should be independent. Double standard as always.

''why we can't build airstrip on our own two island and they got problem come invade the island''.
